With the Lincoln Memorial behind him, and thousands of men and women in front of him, lining the reflecting pool. The overall image was one of inspiration, hope, and even grandeur. Something is missing from this picture today. The reflecting pool is no longer a soft blue, it is frog green and the paint from the bottom of the pool appears to be peeling as scraps of paint are floating to the top.
