The Priorities of a Senile Old Man

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart This situation did not exist one month ago. Today, the 2024 presidential race is between two candidates who are literally as different as male and female. Two months ago the voting public would have been forced to choose between two old, white men, neither of which excited the electorate. Today, only one, old, white man remains in the race, and he is displaying signs of decline in both his physical and mental abilities. At a rally in Pennsylvania Saturday, Trump displayed his lack of ability to focus on the issues of his campaign and revealed his desperate need for personal approval. [Donald Trump obsessed over Kamala Harris’s appearance yet again during a campaign rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on Saturday – this time declaring that he’s “better looking” than his Democratic rival and mocking those who call her “beautiful”.] He continued with what he considered the most important issue of the day. “Time magazine doesn’t have a picture of [H...

Trump is Far Too Old to be Our President

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart When President Biden remained the Democratic candidate, Trump constantly called him “sleepy Joe,” referring to his age of 81. However, he is no longer in the picture, Trump “is” the old man. He is 78 and a very old 78 both physically and mentally. Trump will be 80 years of age on June 15, 2026, 17 months into his term of office. By that time, he is likely to be in a wheelchair and unable to speak his own name clearly. He is already slurring his speech. I felt that his hate rallies were always an embarrassment for Trump, personally, and for our nation’s once respected position in the world. However, in 2024 they are even more about him. His criminal problems, including 34 felony convictions, combined with his inability to challenge Kamala Harris on the issues, and a waning stamina, are forcing him to whine incessantly. Nobody feels sorry for the worst man in the world. A REAL MAN WOULD END HIS CAMPAIGN The right thing for Trump to do is to end his campaign. Howev...

It’s Obvious to Me, but the Media Refuses to Talk About Trump and Dementia

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart It doesn’t require a medical professional to come to the conclusion that Trump is in the middle stages of dementia. He misspeaks constantly, can’t remember events, names, or what city he is in. Although he and I are just three weeks apart in age, my mind is much sharper than the obese, old man who wants to defile the White House once again. AGE IS A REALITY AND SOME AGE MORE QUICLY THAN OTHERS A 77, I cannot deny that age makes a difference. I have difficulty standing in one place, my eyesight is weakening, and I find other physical discomfort I choose not to discuss. However, I read. I am constantly looking for information. I have retained my comprehension and my awareness. Trump has become a rambling idiot. THE FOURTH ESTATE NO LONGER EXISTS In the 21 st century the truth does not exist on television. Most of the media is more concerned with profits and continued existence rather than the absolute truth. Television networks, both national and cable, continue ...

MNF: the Old Man Making Fools of Jet’s Fans

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   Aaron Rodgers will be 40 this year. He has never been praised for his work ethic, or his training regimen, and it showed on Monday night. On the first offensive series for the Jets, he suffered what appeared to be an ankle injury after a mild tackle and was forced to leave the field for the remainder of the game. Rodgers has never been known as a “team player.” Last season he lied to his team, claiming he had received the Covid-19 vaccine. His lack of leadership was well-known and a point of contention in Green Bay. However, It would be unfair for me to single out Rodgers, and not mention the over-hyped Bills’ QB, Josh Allen. For the last four years sports announcers touted the greatness of Allen, although he has never won the big game. Last night he looked like a rookie and embarrassed himself and his team. He made poor decisions, was inaccurate, and focused solely on one receiver. However, the Bills failed badly in all three phases of the game. It ended ...
