On December 8, 1987, U.S. President Ronald Reagan, and Soviet Premier, Mikhail Gorbachev, signed an agreement eliminating an entire class of nuclear missiles, specifically ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges between 500 and 5,500 kilometers. His fascist ‘playbook,’ Mein Kampf, contained tactics which would gain complete loyalty and control over the people of Germany in the 1930s. Key elements included “alternative facts.” He believed that if a lie is told often enough, it will eventually be accepted as fact by weak-minded and uninformed citizens. One is St. Jude’s Hospital, and the other is for the Humane Society. How is it possible that a newborn child begins what will probably be a short life suffering from cancer. They are the only pure humans. They have committed no sins, no crimes, and yet they face a painful and miserable short life. The same is true for our dogs and cats. They ask for almost nothing in return for an all too short life, offering us unconditional love and companionship. And, yet, some people mistreat them and even abuse them. It was awe-inspiring to see our fascist military roll out the red carpet for their future Commander-in-Chief. He has a valid reason for attempting to prevent people like me who are disabled from exercising our Constitutional rights. Voting by mail is the most secure process available.
