Some of you may have forgotten that Trump’s attacks on America began with efforts to punish minorities and the poor for not being rich and white. Diversity, equity, and inclusion, known as DEI, is a purely American ideal. If we are all equal under the law, and share the same Constitutional and Human rights, it simply makes sense. Today, he would be defined by psychiatrists as both a paranoid schizophrenic, and a malignant narcissist. When I was very young, I, my mother, and my younger brother lived in an area of West Los Angeles which was predominately white. It is fair to say that until I was in my junior year of high school, I was surrounded by and lived in an atmosphere of white privilege. The only time I came in contact with anyone my age who was non-white was in the local parks, and later when I joined a baseball team in a predominately Black area of Venice. I never thought about it then, but playing sports gave me the opportunity to become acquainted with different races, most of whom had a different color of skin than my own. Why is Trump determined to crush any efforts to implement a policy of DEI in American business? Simple. He is a Nazi and the leader of the white supremacist movement in America. America was always meant to be a nation of immigrants. Trump is obviously unaware that America is a nation of immigrants. It is highly likely that he is unaware that his grandfather, Friederick Drumpf/Trump immigrated to the US in the mid 1960’s. 22 percent of all Americans claim to speak a language than English in their homes. Of the 22 percent, only 8.4 percent say that they speak it well or very well.
