Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Proving once more that Trump is a pathological liar, he created another unnecessary government agency and called it the “Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE.” He claimed that it was his plan to reduce the national debt by more than two trillion dollars. During the 2024 campaign, billionaire/oligarch, Elon Musk donated at least 270 million dollars to Trump’s campaign. After Trump’s illegitimate inauguration on January 20, 2025, it was immediately clear that Musk was Trump’s co-president. An unauthorized agency was created for Musk called DOGE: the Department of Government Efficiency. My title is of course is a play on the words which compose an old adage. However, it is apropos. Like Trump, Musk cannot accept criticism, although I doubt that he is unaware that he is one of the most hated man in America. Musk was in Wisconsin on Saturday, attempting to buy votes for Trump’s candidates running for the state Supreme Court when he was heckled and booed constantly.
