21 days from today, America will experience another first. An old, obese, mentally unstable, white man who is not a patriotic American, but is a convicted felon, and a confirmed sexual predator, who committed treason and violated the Espionage Act will become our nation’s 47 th  president. I am not a proud American today, and I will be ashamed on January 20, 2025. What I will remember most about this unbelievable situation is how our nation lost its most important branch of government on October 27, 2020, when the last of three politically biased Supreme Court Justices was sworn in. I will remember how another traitor to the Constitution, Moscow Mitch McConnell, broke his own rule and stacked the Court in favor of right-wing extremism. I have written hundreds of articles defining the real Donald Trump. It is an undeniable fact that he is a convicted felon, a traitor, a lifetime criminal, a sexual predator, and other horrible things. I decided that it was time to write about his flaws as a human being, if he is one. My research into Trump’s 78 years began when he was a 13-year-old teenager. His parents obviously didn’t want him in their home, so they sent him to a New York military boarding school. I learned little about his time spent in the institution because when he became your illegitimate president in 2016, he had all of his scholastic records sealed. I can only assume that they are very embarrassing, even for an old man who seldom displays emotions other than fear, anger, hatred, and inciting others to commit violence on his behalf. I was born on July 7, 1946; an original baby boomer. My mother gave birth to me in Lewiston, Idaho. Just before my sixth birthday, my mother, father, little brother, John, my maternal grandparents, and my mother’s youngest brother moved to Los Angeles, because that’s where the jobs were. Several years later, my mother and father divorced. My mother rented a small apartment very near my grandparent’s home in West Los Angeles. My mother was a single parent, and therefore a working mom. My grandparents and my uncle were role models and helped raise my brother and me. We were a Catholic family. Besides going to church every Sunday, we went to “novena” on Wednesdays, and every celebration associated with Christmas and Easter. I went to ‘confession’ every week. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   My standards for evaluating America’s presidents are very high, but at the core is one question: “How did each president affect the quality of life for the majority of all America’s people?”   My opinion begins with the Declaration of Independence.   “ We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness .”   How well a president adheres to these principles proves h is or her value or lack of as our nation’s leader.   PRESIDENTS COME GO BUT FEW WILL BE REMEMBERED A S “GREAT”   In America’s 248 - year history, it’s easy to remember presidents which could be labeled as great.
