  Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart After listening to Trump and President Biden over the last few weeks, I have no doubt that the President’s mind in sharp without any sign of his alleged mental capacity being in decline. Last night’s State of the Union address was spirited, accurate, and devastating for Trump and his fascist allies. These fake Republicans have no retort when faced with the truth other than scream baseless attacks against their adversaries. Trump continues to display a single fact: he is in the middle state of senility. He constantly confuses one person with another, misspeaks, and forgets what he was saying, mumbling to himself. Today, Mr. Biden is likely celebrating his efforts and accepting accolades from his staff and supporters. Trump was also busy, placing a 92-million-dollar bond in trust for the decision against him in the E. Jean Carroll defamation lawsuit. Op-ed by TheWiseOld Fart   In 1989 Reagan left office. Our country was in debt for more than one-trillion dollars. His ludicrous fiscal policy of “supply side economics,” better known as “trickle-down economics,” put money in the pockets of the super-rich, while stagnating the economic growth of the working class. This led to a huge national debt thanks to diminshing tax revenue from those who could most easily afford to pay their fair share.   His Republican successor, Vice-President George H.W. Bush, continued this failed policy and was subsequently forced out of office after one term.   Enter Democrat William Jefferson Clinton in 1993. When he left the White House in 2001, the national debt was eradicated, and America’s national treasury experienced a surplus of funds.   His successor should have been Vice-President Al Gore, who would have continued efforts to grow the economy for all Americans, but a politically biased Supreme Court illegally interfered in the election process an

Although they were elected to serve the needs and wishes of the American people, they ignore the voting public and focus on special interests and their own ambitions. In 2016 House Republicans spent most of their time on baseless attacks against Hillary Clinton, desperate to win elections. This cost taxpayers millions of dollars and unfairly poisoned the credibility of the most qualified presidential candidate in history. What our country received was the least qualified lifetime criminal in history claiming the title of President of the United States.   Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   It is an irrefutable fact that Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the greatest president in America’s 247-year history. He never wavered in his support for the majority, fighting corruption perpetrated by the super-rich, and greedy politicians in an attempt to improve the quality of life for most Americans. He was the only true American President. Not even our founding fathers placed the value of the working class in priority number one. His initial reluctancy to enter World War II was founded upon the fact that he was aware that it is always the poor and working class who fight wars, never the wealthy. However, he wisely prepared for the possibility of American involvement, and when our nation was attacked on December 7, 1941, America was ready to engage in the defeat of the Axis powers.
