Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart One of the darkest days in American history occurred on June 24, 2022. On this day a Supreme Court, stacked by Trump and Moscow Mitch McConnell, voted to repeal Roe v Wade. Women no longer received federal protection for their Constitutional right to choose how to protect their own physical and mental health. We knew that overturning a nearly 50-year-old decision by a legitimate Court would have serious repercussions, but the six justices who voted for the repeal of Roe v. Wade didn’t care and were woefully unfit to sit on the highest Court in the land. Just over two years later, the statistics are dismal, and statistics do not lie. One of these statistics voids the claims of one of the owners of today’s fake Republican Party, the Christian Religious Right. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   For as long as I have been a political writer, I have claimed that Ronald Reagan is responsible for two things: our nation’s financial woes and the demise of the Grand Old Party. He not only admitted that his administration supported the super-rich, he bragged about it. He told his party and his wealthy supporters that “greed is good.”   Reagan was also responsible for the demise of the Grand Old Party, completed by Trump in 2017. He demanded complete loyalty and support from every Republican while abandoning the principles and standards of the former Party of Lincoln. He moved his party even farther to the right and extremism with his war on the working class, minorities, women, and non-Christians. Reagan is on my list of the five worst presidents in history. His fiscal policy of “supply side economics,” better known as “ trickle-down economics,” not only reduced the quality of life for most Americans, tax breaks for the super-rich and corporations...

Religion was and is an issue intended to be part of an individual’s private and personal life. It  guarantees your right to reject the influence of religion into your personal life, if that is your choice.
