Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Five weeks ago there were protests in downtown Los Angeles. The majority of the marchers were peaceful and voicing their anger at Trump for his illegal and immoral attempt to “ethnically cleanse” America of Hispanics, and anyone else who is not pure white. Local networks filmed a few less peaceful incidents, including a trash can set on fire, and one overturned vehicle. However, the right-wing propaganda machine, Fox News, did just the opposite. They showed their audience the few situations which were displays of extreme anger, and would be considered vandalism. This misrepresentation of the situation prompted your idiot in the White House to send the United States military into downtown Los Angeles to end the “massive violence.” 2,000 members of the California National Guard, and 700 active-duty marines were sent to the City of Angels without cause. 2,700 of our nation’s finest accomplished the arrest of one man for disorderly conduct.
