The Big Flaw in the Democratic Party

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart If we look at the progressive agenda of the Democratic Party, and how Democratic and Independent voters respond, it seems impossible for right-wing politicians to be victorious in any pollical race of importance. However, there is one big flaw within the Democratic Party; a flaw which is non-existent among those calling themselves “Republicans.” In 1981, weeks before the inauguration of our 40 th President, Ronald Reagan, private meetings within the Republican Party discussed the agenda of their new party’s leader. President-elect Reagan’s first priority was “unification.” He demanded that all members of his party serving in Washington and in state’s legislatures support his agenda without exception. I don’t need to inform you that this continues today. After Trump’s illegitimate inauguration in 2017, 100 percent of all Republicans capitulated to Trump and his unconstitutional agenda, surrendering their principles, morals, and right to think freely. On that sad...

There are More Than Eight Billion, 45 Million Unique Stories in the World

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   Not a single person in the entire world shares the exact same story with another. Humans are given free thought and free will, and no one shares another person’s mind completely. Therefore, if we listen really hard, we will find more than eight billion, 45 million unique stories around the world. In my experience, most people have one huge fault, they are quick to judge others without knowing them. No one can truly know someone else if that person refuses to expose their innermost selves to another. Some of the most judgmental people I know call themselves “Christians.” Therefore, they must not have the right to call themselves Christians. In the New Testament of the Bible, Jesus Christ instructed his followers: “Judge not lest ye be judged,” and “Only God, the Father can judge men.” I learned more about this lesson after the passing of my father-in-law. I knew he was a good man who I respected and liked very much. However, at his celebration of life the c...

Millions of Americans have been Brainwashed Because They Wanted to be Brainwashed.

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   If you believe that Fox News is legitimate, bringing their audience facts about current events from around the world, you are making a choice, allowing yourself to be brainwashed. The truth is, Fox was created by Rupert Murdoch in 1996 for two purposes: increase advertising revenue by any means possible, and to become a propaganda machine for right-wing extremists. Their original primetime personalities included one man and one woman who apparently had credentials offering them an opportunity to claim the title of “journalist.” However, after the Roger Ailes scandal, related to sexual harassment and assault, Megyn Kelly resigned. Later it was discovered that their most successful host, Bill O’Reilly, has falsified the contents of his books, and also engaged in actions making him a sexual predator, he was forced to resign his lucrative position. Today, there is only one legitimate journalist on Fox. Bre Baier will never be allowed to report in primetime. Th...

All Religions are Based on Irrational Beliefs and Groundless Hope

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   Fact: the largest number of innocent people slaughtered by invading armies were the result of wars waged by religious entities. Wealthy Americans are the enemy of the majority. All religious leaders are members of the wealthy class and pay zero dollars in taxes, although they in violation of the First Amendment. Religious leaders pay zero dollars in taxes and live the lifestyle of the super-rich. Every Sunday they preach their lies and half-truths with only a single intention; convince them to increase the amount of money they place in the collection plate. Money truly is the root of all evil, and money is the only issue of importance in America. You and I mean nothing to the wealthy, religious leaders, or politicians. All three are only concerned with your money and your votes. I support anyone who is a true believer. However, I ended my belief in organized religion in 1962 when I was sixteen. I was convinced that all religions were created by mortal men ...

The Hypocrisy of Religion and Why Unlimited Freedom Must be Revoked

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   The First Amendment promises freedom of religion, but not the freedom to include your personal choice in your employment or attempt to force your beliefs on others. Religion was and is an issue intended to be part of an individual’s private and personal life. It  guarantees your right to reject the influence of religion into your personal life, if that is your choice. [Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.] First Amendment, ratified at the end of the Constitutional Congress in 1789. Anyone who has read my rants for a long period of time knows that I am one of about 75 million Americans who reject organized religion. However, I want you to know that I defend the right of every human being to practice the religion of their...
