I believed that most people had good intentions, and because of that single fact, the things I saw happening around me, which were harmful, dangerous, and unfair would be rectified in my lifetime. However, 25 years ago, I began to doubt my own beliefs. I was always aware that the government of the United States was composed of mostly inferior and incompetent men and women. However, I continued to believe that the system of checks and balances created by our Founding Fathers would guarantee that our government would always be relatively successful in the performance of their jobs: to serve the American people. But after the 2000 election and the debacle occurring in Florida by a totally incompetent election committee, the Supreme Court exceeded its authority and decided to award George W. Trump refused to keep his number one promise and “end inflation on day one.” We, the people, are beginning to feel the pain from Trump’s moronic tariffs. The ad was a big lie, claiming that more availability would lower the costs of homes and apartment rentals. The new apartments near my home are ridiculously expensive. A one-bedroom rents for about $1,700 per month. Incomes in Northern Nevada are far lower than the national average. Hey dumbasses: Social Security is not an entitlement: it is our money. I hope every right-wing politician reads this. Someone needs to inform these morons of the facts. In August of 1935, the greatest president in history signed a bill making Social Security a reality. Every American worker, and their employers would contribute to a retirement fund. It was perfect. Social Security would not receive funding from the general fund. It would be fully funded by individuals, and the amount of money received at retirement age would be based on the amount of money contributed by each individual worker and his or her employer.
