1930s Fascist Leaders Can be Found at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Hitler was without a doubt a madman. He was obsessed with power and control over the future. Today, he would be defined by psychiatrists as both a paranoid schizophrenic, and a malignant narcissist. You might remember a letter signed by 25 of our nation’s most respected mental health authorities, offering their beliefs that Trump is afflicted with malignant narcissism. However, Adolf Hitler was an accomplished artist and a brilliant man who chose tyranny over accomplishments which would benefit all mankind. His fascist playbook, Mein Kampf, details techniques designed to control the masses. It begins with extreme nationalism, and continues with many tactics guaranteed to eventually convince the weak-minded that everything he said was an irrefutable fact. First and foremost, a lie told often enough will eventually be accepted as the truth. We witnessed the use of this method after the 2020 election. Although Trump’s own “Election Czar” told the press that “the 20...

Trump is Dutifully Following His Own Fascist Manifesto, Project 2025

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart During the 2024 campaign, one of his biggest lies came when he was asked about Project 2025. As he always does, he lied, saying “I know nothing about it.” The truth is, every word, every idea in the 922-page fascist encyclopedia came from Trump’s own words during his many, boring, hate rallies. It is no secret: Trump’s primary ‘hero’ is Adolf Hitler. He studied the Fuhrer’s speeches every night before going to bed. There is no doubt that he is not an American president. Recently, these are a few of the plans contained in Project 2025. • launching a mass deportation program • purging civil servants and replacing them with partisan loyalists • defunding the Corporation for Public Broadcasting• reducing the Federal Emergency Management Agency's role in disaster response • eliminating federal "diversity, equity and inclusion" efforts • banning transgender troops in the military One of Hitler’s primary plans to establish complete control of Germany in t...

When the Definition of “Conservative” was Changed Forever

Image
OP-ed by TheWiseOldFart You hear it constantly: “the Conservative Agenda.” However, the definition of “Conservative 40 years ago was very different than it is today. Conservative: “(in a political context) favoring free enterprise, private ownership, and socially traditional ideas.” This was a simple and accurate description of those who sat on the right side of the aisle in the Capitol Building before Ronald Reagan. However, today’s “Conservative Extremists” are in reality fascists. They no longer believe in free enterprise, or “traditional social values.” There are fewer than a handful of true conservatives in Washington today, and they are members of the Democratic Party. Those who sit on the right side of the aisle can call themselves anything: Republicans, the GOP, Conservatives, or anything else. We know the truth. By their leader’s own words and actions, they are members of the American Nazi Party, and their polices are a combination of Mein Kampf and Project 2025. The former ‘G...

“It’s the Economy, Stupid”

Image
Political writers claim the results of the 2024 election were based on one single promise made by a pathological liar. Trump said: “I will end inflation on day one.” Personally, I do not agree with the reasons offered by others for Trump’s questionable victory on November 5, 2024. However, I may be wrong and what was in reality “Greedflation” continues to grow today. Not once has Trump mentioned a single effort on his part to address the issue. The fact is that his ill-advised tariffs will be in effect today and the prices of necessities will rise even higher. In 1992, Democratic political strategist, James Carville, spoke to the press about the coming election. For 12 years Republican presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush destroyed our nation’s economy, adding trillions of dollars to the national debt. They shared the same belief in “trickle-down economics:” give money to the rich and they will increase employment and therefore grow the economy. They were terribly wrong. When ...
