Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Trump is very busy. Number one priority is chasing a little, white ball through a field of grass. Number two is partying with his oligarchs at his trashy and garish resort, Mar-a-Lago. Third is accomplishing Vladimir Putin’s goal to destroy America. Fourth is taking revenge on the men and women whose job it was to expose his crimes and treasonous actions against his own country. Historical records prove that Trump failed to produce a single positive accomplishment, to take a single action focused on improving the lives of the American people between 2017 and 2021. To the contrary, Trump is directly responsible for about 100,000 lives lost when he failed to lead our nation in the fight against Covid-19. In 2025, Trump 2.0 is far worse. He is not only breaking every campaign promise, he is destroying every accomplishment made by his predecessors over the last 72 years, beginning with Dwight D. Eisenhower. His constitutional violations are too numerous to mention. ...

I underestimated President Joe Biden. He is in my top five list of our nation’s greatest presidents. (I have to take a closer look at that sentence; I’m not sure that out of 47 presidents, five of them could be considered “great.”) Unlike any of his predecessors, he displayed the courage to simply “do the right thing.” First, he pardoned his son who was convicted of crimes which are seldom prosecuted. Right-wing politicians conducted a real “witch hunt” into Hunter Biden for years, and I commend a father, who happens to be our President, for his actions. Second, yesterday the President acted with admirable compassion and common sense. “President Joe Biden is commuting the sentences of roughly 1,500 people who were released from prison and placed on home confinement during the coronavirus pandemic and is pardoning 39 Americans convicted of nonviolent crimes. It’s the largest single-day act of clemency in modern history.” Add to this part of the story the irrefutable fact that the media ...
