God’s Biggest Mistake: Creating Mankind

I was in my twenties. I had grown up and was paying greater attention to my country and what lay beyond our nation’s shores. A funny thing about becoming aware and informed is that once you begin, you want to know more and more: your interest grows rapidly. Although I believed then, as I do now, that most human beings are basically good, evil exists, it is real, and it is frightening. It appears to be far more prevalent in the 21st century. It was during that part of my education that I formed a belief which is far more real today than it was in the late 1960’s and 70’s. “God’s biggest mistake was the creation of man. However, a small percentage, who have great wealth and power over the masses, have other ambitions. These people want more: what they have is never enough. IF THERE WAS A GOD, HE OVERESTIMATED HIS CREATIONS Throughout history, men who obtain power, along with great wealth, always want more power and greater wealth. These men and women are the destructive forces whose greed and ambition caused all the pain, agony, misery, and deaths throughout history. Long ago, Kings, Queens, and other members of the royal family enjoyed lives of luxury beyond the imagination of their subjects.
