His own words: “I have never done anything wrong,” speaks volumes. “A man who refuses to learn from his own mistakes is a fool.” No elementary school teacher, high school teacher, or college professor is a better teacher than the past, including our own actions and words we may regret. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart I will never forget driving by the polls in 2020’s early voting days. The parking lots were full, and cars lined the side streets. I had already voted by mail, but I wanted to see how many people shared my displeasure with the worst president in history. Yesterday, November 4, 2025, was not a general election day, nor a midterm. However, gubernatorial races and the selection of the Mayor of the most important city in the world spoke volumes about how intent real Americans are about taking their country back from Donny Dictator. Trump’s name was not on any ballot in any state yesterday. However, as it was in 2020, any vote against a candidate supported or endorsed by Trump, was a vote against the worst man in the world. Yesterday was also a repeat of 2020. Trump candidates were crushed in New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City. Less “hot button” races and issues followed this pattern across our nation. However, if you care about your country, and your family, today’s elections should be of great interest to you. They have far greater implications about how voters are thinking in New York City, and the states of Virginia and New Jersey. All working-class Americans share the same concerns. The future of two states and the financial capital of America will be greatly affected the outcome of these elections. However, it will be an indicator of what might happen across the nation in just one year. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   Republican’s fascist, anti-women policies are the reasons they suffered huge losses in Tuesday’s elections. Right-wing politicians oppose every issue favored by most of our nation’s people. June 24, 2022 was one of the darkest days in American history. On this day six Republican-appointed justices overturned a 49-year-old decision by a legitimate Supreme Court known as Roe v Wade. This was a brazen attack on all women, removing protections for their decisions regarding unwanted pregnancies, or pregnancies resulting from rape or incest. These five men and one female religious extremist decided that women were third-class citizens without the right to decide the fate of their personal mental and physical health.
