God’s Biggest Mistake: Creating Mankind

Image
I was in my twenties. I had grown up and was paying greater attention to my country and what lay beyond our nation’s shores. A funny thing about becoming aware and informed is that once you begin, you want to know more and more: your interest grows rapidly. Although I believed then, as I do now, that most human beings are basically good, evil exists, it is real, and it is frightening. It appears to be far more prevalent in the 21st century. It was during that part of my education that I formed a belief which is far more real today than it was in the late 1960’s and 70’s. “God’s biggest mistake was the creation of man. Not a single of God’s creatures destroys what He created for the sole purpose of increasing its personal wealth. This is unique among H H omo sapiens. Animals use our soil, water, and clean air as intended. Animals have never plotted the destruction of another species based on unwarranted anger, hatred, or jealousy. Although our Founding Fathers made mistakes, they were n...

“God F**ked Up at Least Once, He Created Man”

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart In every country in the world, most men and women want the same things: safety and security for themselves and their families, and a decent quality of life which allows them basic human rights. However, a small percentage, who have great wealth and power over the masses, have other ambitions. These people want more: what they have is never enough. IF THERE WAS A GOD, HE OVERESTIMATED HIS CREATIONS Throughout history, men who obtain power, along with great wealth, always want more power and greater wealth. These men and women are the destructive forces whose greed and ambition caused all the pain, agony, misery, and deaths throughout history. Long ago, Kings, Queens, and other members of the royal family enjoyed lives of luxury beyond the imagination of their subjects. The separation between the powerful and the many was simply a great divide between the super-rich and the poor. Today, in America, these people are called billionaires, and multi-...

Crooked Federal Judge Delays Trump’s Espionage Act Trial Until he is Able to Pardon Himself

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Trump is clearly guilty of violating the Espionage Act, a federal law punishable by death if broken. However, Judge Aileen Cannon, who was appointed by Trump, continues to delay the trial until after the election. If he wins the election, he will pardon himself for his heinous crime. Another of Trump’s many, many crimes will go unpunished. Her excuse is based on the immoral and illegal decision by the Supreme Court about presidential immunity. Your president is above the law. Sentencing for his hush money case when he was convicted of 34 felonies is even more ridiculous. He was not your president when he committed those crimes. Originally sentencing was scheduled for five days from today. However, that, too, has been delayed until September, or later. TRUST NO ONE In my 78 years, I have learned one sad fact: No one in power, or in possession of enormous wealth can be trusted. They control our country and therefore our people, and have no interest in the welfare ...

Not a Single Person in the World can Claim to be Rated 100 Percent on the Mental Health Scale

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart In 2024, the world’s population is 8,019,876,189. Of course this is an estimate. There is no possible way that every nation can accurately report its population, including the United States. I helped in conducting the 2010 Decennial Census, and I know this for a fact. However, I can offer one irrefutable fact: not a single person in this world of ours can claim to be 100 percent mentally healthy. Human beings suffer mental illness, some more than others. To deny this is to deny historical fact. Our minds are not always clear and logical. Every day we question everything, including ourselves. The truth is that anyone who believes they are without mental deficiency is batshit crazy. WHY AM I WRITING ABOUT THIS? My point is simple and undeniable. Unless you live with someone, you don’t know them, and even then, it is a well-known fact that husbands and wives often keep secrets from one another. My purpose is also simple and based on fact. Do not bel...

The Hypocrisy of Religion and Why Unlimited Freedom Must be Revoked

Image
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   The First Amendment promises freedom of religion, but not the freedom to include your personal choice in your employment or attempt to force your beliefs on others. Religion was and is an issue intended to be part of an individual’s private and personal life. It  guarantees your right to reject the influence of religion into your personal life, if that is your choice. [Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.] First Amendment, ratified at the end of the Constitutional Congress in 1789. Anyone who has read my rants for a long period of time knows that I am one of about 75 million Americans who reject organized religion. However, I want you to know that I defend the right of every human being to practice the religion of their...
