When information is available, but you choose to believe lies and half-truths, you choose to be ignorant. But the facts cannot be denied. In America, watching television news is ignorant. The victor seldom receives the designated monetary settlement, and the guilty use the loss as a tax deduction. However, it does reveal the truth. Fox News faced many lawsuits in its 29 years of lying to the American people. However, this fake news network proves my allegation that lawsuits mean nothing to billionaires. Their profits are measured in billions of dollars, and settling a lawsuit for millions means nothing. Newsmax, another right-wing propaganda machine funded by Trump’s billionaires/oligarchs recently lost what appears to be a fortune to the average American. However, for its billionaire owners, it is “chump change.” The 2020 election was historically relevant to American history. Trump’s supporters share one commonality: they all choose to be brainwashed. This happens when anyone watches more than one-half hour of the lies offered by FOX News, Newsmax, One America News and a few other fascist-leaning television misinformation broadcasts. I have several brothers-in-law. One of them was my wife’s roommate when we began dating. I respected him; believing he was intelligent and credited him with his search for knowledge. However, several years ago he moved to the South: first to Georgia, and he now resides in Florida. What I admired about him no longer exists. They are clearly more concerned about a one-inch fetus than the life of a full-grown woman. Placing that fact aside, let’s take a short look at reality. The human brain begins to develop in the uterus within the sixth or seventh week. However, it is not fully developed until the end of the second trimester. Why is this important? Christian extremists claim that life begins at conception, and seek to ban all abortions, regardless of how the pregnancy originated. Pro-lifers are also involved in the termination of life for those who are terminally ill and the prognosis of regaining normal life is minimal at best. Their argument is founded on the fact that the patient’s brain remains “alive,” not alive as we might consider it, but alive according to science.
