The hearings to confirm Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense in the Senate are scheduled to begin today. It would be extremely difficult to find a less qualified nominee. Trump could have chosen son Eric, or possibly Sean Hannity; anyone but Hegseth. However, Hegseth does not stand out among the incompetent criminals and sexual deviates selected by the draft dodger. He is simply another future resident in the asylum: the new name for the White House. Soon it will become a reality: “the inmates will be running the asylum.” Hegseth and Trump have a lot in common. The House reneged on its past policies and decided not to hide the ethics investigation into Matt Gaetz actions, claiming “for reasons of national security.” He is far worse than anyone would have believed. His drug use is far more pervasive than we were led to believe. He spent huge amounts of money paying for sex. The names Matt Gaetz and Pete Hegseth are interchangeable. Their history proves that they are depraved sexual predators, have addictive personalities with drugs and/or alcohol, and are confirmed but not convicted criminals. The scandal was exposed in March of 2016 by “Crew.” The Attorney General for the state of Florida was a woman by the name of Pam Bondi. She accepted a $25,000 donation from the Trump Foundation intended for her reelection campaign. The problem is, charitable foundations are not allowed to participate in any form of politics. Why would Trump steal money from his own charitable foundation and give it to a state official when he was living in New York City? You might remember the now defunct Trump University. It was deemed a fraud by a federal judge, and Trump was forced to pay restitution to the “students” he swindled. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart I believe that there are many more members of our federal government who are criminals than we are aware of. Hiding corruption under “for reasons of national security” is proof that the American government is the most corrupt and therefore the most incompetent in the world. However, three men are well-known for their crimes, and they have never been punished. Two are members of the House of Representatives and one has been allowed to run for the presidency thanks to a biased and criminal Supreme Court. The Constitution is now null and void. I know there are others who have openly committed lesser crimes, including support for Neo-Nazi groups who seek the end or our democratic government, and are in violation of the ethics clause.
