  Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart This story is confusing, sad, and almost unbelievable. At the center of this tale is Senator Lindsey Graham, Rep., South Carolina. Arizona Senator John McCain lost his battle for life on August 25, 2018. He and Lindsey Graham were close friends, almost inseparable. Although my beliefs and those of Senator McCain were often in direct opposition, I admired him for the only reason which mattered: Mr. McCain always acted in a manner focused on doing what he believed was the right for the American people. I believed that he and Graham shared the same principles and morals. However, after Senator McCain passed, Graham became hypocrite number one. During the 2016 campaign Graham constantly criticized Trump: a couple of examples. In 2016, Lindsey Graham wrote, "If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed … and we will deserve it." Lindsey Graham has cemented his legacy. He will forever be remembered as “the biggest wimp in the Senate.” From June of 2015 until November 8, 2016, Graham attacked Trump and rightfully claimed that he would be a danger to our nation’s future. However, after John McCain lost his battle with cancer in 2018, he gleefully surrendered himself to the orange buffoon. Since that day in August, Graham has become one of the biggest hypocrites in world history. The Senator from South Carolina renounced his morals, principles, integrity, and self-respect to the worst man in the world. I was watching television and another Republican legislator, whose name I do not remember said, “if Trump tells us to jump three feet high and scratch our head, we do it.” This is what is wrong with Washington and what is so revolting about Graham.   Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Before Senator John McCain’s death in 2018, Lindsey Graham was a somewhat rational man. It seems that the Senator from Arizona kept the little man from South Carolina in line, and influenced him to do the right thing most of the time. However, almost immediately after Senator McCain lost his battle with cancer, Graham began to offer his allegiance to the man his closest friend despised. I will always wonder why? Senator McCain was a man with principles and integrity. Trump is a man filled with hatred and cares only for himself. The reality is that Graham is now a man without morals who supports a man he knows is opposed to everything loyal Americans like John McCain stood for.
