The title of President of the United States has a definition which includes certain necessary attributes which make him or her worthy of the most powerful and important job in the world. However, never forget that he or she is nothing more than an elected public servant. I view a president as the most qualified person available for that title on election day. He or she must have years of experience in federal and/or state government. He or she must have above average intellect, able to make the best possible decision in every situation with the assistance of his or her closest and most trusted advisers. He or she must have exceptional moral character, and be the most principled person in the world. He or she must have unbridled love for his or her country. He or she must be the ultimate patriot. On Thursday, January 9, 2025 America won two victories. Trump and Moscow Mitch’s stacked Supreme Court denied Trump’s appeal to halt his sentencing after being convicted on all 34 felony counts in the infamous hush money trial. On the same day, an Appellate Court denied a motion to keep the American people access to the Select Committee’s final report on the January 6, insurrection. Today, Trump will forever be known as a convicted felon. This criminal will be the first inaugurated felon in our nation’s history. It has morphed from a capitalistic nation to a plutocracy. The super-rich can have any physical possession their desire. However, most are without morals, social responsibility, and principles. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Since 2015 the former Republican Party has been making history. The mainstream media reports these situations and events as “firsts,” making them sensible and acceptable. What makes them historical is how they violate the Constitution, or societal norms which have existed for nearly 248 years. Some of them are so severe they have become felonies.
