He is also in denial about the use of solar energy and wind. The latter is based on enormous campaign contributions from the petroleum industry. He has a new obsession: artificial intelligence. Intelligence is unfamiliar to the orange buffoon. Trump is a poorly educated man who did not earn his degree from Wharton. He wants to allow his billionare supporters to ecome even more wealthy, although the scientists who created the technology are expressing their concern about the danger it poses to all life on earth. Since 2017, there have been more mass shootings than days on the calendar. Just this morning, there was a mass shooting at Virginia State University. On Friday, there was a mass shooting in Cadillac, Michigan. For the 340 million people who live in America, this has become “normal.” CONGRESS SUPPORTS DOMESTIC TERRORISM Three percent of all Americans own more than one-half of all guns in America. Personal ownership of weapons of mass destruction is unnecessary, and the reason domestic terrorism is the greatest threat to the American people in the 21 st century. Professional Politicians support these attacks with their failure to take action, and have in reality become domestic terrorists. If Musk wants to end government waste and remove government employees who fail to perform their jobs, he is looking in the wrong direction. In a building known as the “Capitol,” there are 535 men and women who do nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing for our nation’s people. Their base salaries cost taxpayers $90,090,000 each year. We don’t need any of them. Add Trump to this reality and another $400,000 could be saved each year, not counting the more than six million dollars he wastes each month golfing and partying at Mar-a-Lago. That would save our nation at least $162,490,000 every single year. Let’s stop the hypocrisy, Musk. You don’t give a fuck about our nation or our people.   The last two congresses, with control of the House in Republican’s incapable hands, passed the fewest bills into law in modern American history. Right-wing politicians spend most of their time protecting Trump from his many crimes and have no time and no interest in performing the jobs for which they were elected. When they are in the Capitol Building, they spend most of their time contacting current and potential donors for their reelection campaigns. Although they are only required to be in Washington 100 days a year, when they are present their efforts are seldom focused on passing legislation which benefits all Americans. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart For the last two decades right-wing politicians have proven themselves good for only one thing: fodder for writers on late-night television. Not a single man or woman calling themselves “Republican” in the 21 st century is fit to run for office at any level. Now, in 2024, this has become a very sad fact. The only presidential candidates offered by the once Grand Old Party are an obese man who is facing 91 felony indictments, including treason, theft of secret documents, and a lifetime of fraud related to his failed business enterprises, and a woman who lost to “none of these candidates” in the Nevada state primary. At the age of 77, I remember that if a candidate had an affair or had a divorce in his past, he was forced to withdraw. Trump has had three wives, numerous affairs and unwanted sexual encounters, but Republican voters don’t give a damn.
