Fact: America is more than 30 trillion dollars in debt. Fact: When Bill Clinton left office in 2001, the national treasury boasted a surplus. Fact: Failed fiscal policies, two illegal wars, wasteful personal spending, and failing to lead our nation in the fight against Covid-19 by two Republican presidents placed our nation in enormous debt. Fact: If every individual and corporation paid their fair share of taxes, America would truly be the richest nation in the world without a single dollar in debt. Most of our serious problems would disappear. American politicians have convinced our poorly informed citizens that taxes are unnecessary and should be lowered. This brings me to the reason for writin g this articl e.   MOSCOW MITCH MCCONNELL MUST ACCEPT ALL THE BLAME   Trump would never have attempted a coup on January 6 if he believed he would eventually go to prison. However, after Moscow Mitch refused to conduct two fair and unbiased trials in the Senate, after Trump was impeached twice for cause, your former illegitimate president   truly believes that he stands above the law, and will never be punished for his crimes. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   The 2024 IRS budget is 14.1 billion dollars : 1.8 billion dollars more than 2023. It is fair to claim that this system is far more expensive than  it’s worth.   The tax code consists of 6,871 pages. 99 percent of those pages involve exemptions for the wealthy and super-rich as well as large corporations.
