Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart, Before the Constitution was signed in 1789, there was a White America, and a Black America. In the 21 st century, there is a greater division between Blacks and Whites. There are also two more “Americas:” one for the super-rich and powerful, and one for low-income and poor men and women. These four Americas are often intertwined, with the exception of the super-rich and powerful. Not a single man or woman with power and great wealth has been fairly punished for a serious crime in my lifetime. The average income for all incarcerated men and women prior to their convictions is less than $20,000 per year. Think about it.
