  Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Ted Cruz is one of the few people in the world for which I am unable to find one positive attribute. By his own actions, he has proven himself to be the biggest hypocrite in America, its worst Senator, and a traitor to the people of Texas and our nation. Never forget that in his first year in office, 2013, he obeyed his benefactors, the Koch Brothers, and was instrumental in forcing a government shutdown. His loyalty is not to the American people, but in support of the super-rich. Cruz is running for a third term in November. Six years ago he won by a slim margin, and according to the polls his actions over the last six years could place him in a position to lose his seat to a Democrat. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Donald Trump enjoys making up ‘nicknames’ for his millions of adversaries. Most of them are silly and meaningless, but when you failed most of your classes in high school and college, this is the best you can do. I have many nicknames for Trump and his fascist party, and I don’t have to make them up, they are real and accurate nouns and adjectives. For instance, I have called Trump the orange buffoon, Trumpenstein, and with recent revelations about his idols, “Big Adolf.” His party is incompetent beyond belief, but that’s not all. They are pathological liars, extremists, unfit for office, and fascists. But the term which describes the entire party is “corrupt.” HYPOCRITES ONE AND ALL Right-wing politicians have proven to be the opposite of “the party of family values.” Among their crimes are sexual deviance, numerous felonies, abandoning their promises to voters, choosing instead to support the super-rich, while ignoring the needs and wishes of their constituent

  Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart I spent 68 years of my life rejecting negative emotions including anger and hatred. However, over the last nine years Trump and his fascist party have changed me in a manner I do not like. I hate him and many of his party with all the anger they have forced me to experience. If you read me regularly, you know that I am an original “baby boomer,” born in 1946. Therefore, it will not surprise you that I have been a strong patriot for most of my life. In elementary school we recited the Pledge of Allegiance every day at the start of classes. At sporting events I sang the Nation Anthem with pride.
