Trump sent National Guard Troops to Portland, Los Angeles, and Chicago for one reason, and one reason only: to prevent the “No Kings” protests against his authoritarian and fascist actions by true and patriotic Americans. As America’s leading hypocrite, he is taking action to protect protestors, albeit in a Muslim nation. Protests against the failure of Iran’s leaders based on a declining economy, have turned deadly. “If Iran shoots and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go.” Throughout our nation’s 249 years, our federal government continues to interfere with events occurring in other nations. We are not a “great nation,” and we are not the “world’s police force.” We have no right to impose our beliefs on other nations...

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart It’s clear that professional politicians on both sides of the aisle are not listening to the American people. We know that those who call themselves Republicans don’t give a damn about the well-being of our nation’s 340 million people. Their loyalty is to Donald Trump and his handler, Vladimir Putin. Democrats apparently believe that Trump’s destructive, fascist policies will encourage voters to choose them instead of members of the American Fascist Party in November of 2026. As usual, they are lazy and simply don’t listen. Those who talk but do nothing will discover an increase in voter apathy, resulting in a low voter turnout. I am an Independent. We and Democratic voters who are in need of leadership are tired of words. We want to see action. Personally, I would think that Democratic politicians would at least join their supporters on the streets, participating in the never-ending protests against Trump and his party. I read excerpts of Trump’s very long and very boring speech on Tuesday evening. Above all, he failed to tell us anything he has accomplished which would improve our nation’s future. Once again, most of his time has been spent chasing a little white ball through the grass and sand. It is 100 percent clear that Musk is making all of the big decisions. The Second Civil War began in 2017. However, a second illegitimate Trump presidency will undoubtedly result in a bloody Second Civil War. The only question of importance is “will our military stand with our nation’s people or the current fascist government?” It is an undeniable reality that military institutions are a fascist cult.
