Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart The Truth Lives Here January 6, 2021 was the darkest day in American history. What happened on that day and what did not happen in the days following the failed coup offered irrefutable truth that our nation’s government is corrupt, irresponsible, and incompetent. Trump is America’s biggest traitor but remains a free man seeking the presidency. This one event and it’s affect on our nation and its future made it far worse than December7, 1941, or September 11, 2001. Tomorrow, November 5, 2024, will either be the new ‘darkest day in our nation’s history,’ or a new beginning with hope on the horizon. Trump is not a Democrat, a Republican, or an American. He is an opportunist whose loyalty is to Vladimir Putin, not the people of our nation. Don’t be fooled. Save democracy and prevent a fascist regime. Op-ed by James Turnage  

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   The truth is a rare commodity in America today. If someone in power, most significantly a politician, is speaking, whatever they are saying is probably a lie. Over the last 40+ years our government has become highly secretive. They are hiding their own sins from the American people because the truth would result in the loss of elections. Corruption is standard operating procedure in our nation today. This situation was exacerbated during Trump’s illegitimate presidency as the fourth estate recorded between 50,000 and 75,000 lies told by your failed president between 2015 and 2021. Every member of his party followed his example for a single reason, to protect their fascist leader. The worst of the worst is Representative Jim Jordan from Ohio. He screams and yells as he questions individuals with no intention of allowing them to give an honest and complete answer. This is a technique he learned from Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Tucker Carlson on Fox News. As

Dozens, if not hundreds of men and women who have pretended to be public servants in the House or Senate have been batshit crazy and totally incompetent, unworthy of serving in the government of the United States. A significant number of these enemies of the American people have been sexual predators and criminals. The list varies. Political bias hides the truth all too frequently. However, the facts remain.   Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart   Four indictments, more than 90 felony counts, no plausible defense, and a history of criminal activity, and the only defense offered by Trump and his co-conspirators is, “I was just doing my job.” Justice in America is not blind, not balanced. It favors the rich and powerful and at the same time punishes minorities, the poor, and anyone who might be considered less fortunate to the maximum allowed by law. Records prove that Trump’s final Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, was complicit in the planning and organization of the insurrection on January 6, 2021. He is one of the men who was indicted this week in Georgia for interfering in the results of our 2020 election. His only defense to date is, “I was just doing my job.” The indictment includes this desperate defense: Meadows asks for Georgia charges to shift to federal court, claiming he was doing his job. Right-wing politicians are now the party of baseless conspiracy theories, blatant falsehoods, and extremism. Gone but not forgotten is the once Grand Old Party, and no one on the right side of the aisle, not Moscow Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, nor Lauren Boebert is more of a perfect example of this new reality than Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson.
