A Second Mental Illness for Trump
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
It’s not news to me, and it shouldn’t be to you. Trump’s
mental acuity is in steep decline. However, this is not the first time your
illegitimate president has been diagnosed with a disease which affects his
ability to perform the job for which he was illegitimately elected.
In 2017, a letter signed by 27 reputable psychiatrists
claimed that Trump was mentally unstable and unfit of the office of President
of the United States.
I found the definition for ‘malignant narcissist,’ and I was
a little surprised. Trump IS the poster for this untreatable disease. I
say ‘untreatable,’ because anyone afflicted with this problem will certainly
refuse professional help.
Malignant Narcissism: “a severe personality disorder
characterized by a combination of narcissistic personality disorder traits,
antisocial behavior, paranoia, and sadism. It is not officially recognized as a
diagnosis in the DSM-5, but it is used to describe a particularly destructive
form of narcissism. Individuals with malignant narcissism exhibit a grandiose
sense of self, a lack of empathy, and a tendency to exploit and manipulate
others for their own gain. They may also display aggression, paranoia, and a
propensity for sadism.”
With every speech or statement to the press Trump makes, it
is becoming clearer that his dementia is advancing. Forgetting what he was
talking about, usually nothing of importance, slurring his words, forgetting
names, rambling on and on without reaching a point, are all signs of a decline
in brain function in elderly Americans.
Trump was the oldest president elected to office in history,
although his election was clearly rigged by his puppeteer, Vladimir Putin.
Face it, Trump lovers, his entire first six months in office
had one goal: seeking revenge on his imagined enemies. From men and women
charged with investigating his acts of treason on January 6, 2021 to rejection
letters from respected colleges and universities, Trump is abusing his powers
with acts undeserving of a 12-year-old bully. His shame is endless and I find
him revolting. Trump consistently proves that he is an immature child living
inside a 79-year-old man’s body.
In 2017, psychiatrists
made a suggestion to Mike Pence and members of Trump’s cabinet. They encouraged
these men and women to place their country in priority over their party and remove
Trump from office by enacting the 25th Amendment. They declined. Republicans
have no concerns about 330-340 million people, they care about themselves and
the billionaires who own them.
On November 5, 2024, after I recovered from the shock and
fear of facing another illegitimate Trump presidency, I found my calm and
looked seriously at what the next four years might look like.
I was wrong. The first six months have proven that Trump is
far worse than in 2017-2021. However, I continue to believe that Trump will
never complete four years behind the few occasions when he is sitting behind
the Resolute Desk.
In addition to escalating dementia, Trump is experiencing ‘chronic
venous insufficiency.’ This disease is the result of blood pooing in legs and
ankles which is not recirculating upwards and back through the heart. In
itself, it is not serious and fairly common among elderly men over the age of
70.
What they are not saying is that Trump’s unhealthy diet of
fast foods, his obvious obesity, combined with his refusal to exercise could add
serious problems. The ultimate result could, and likely will be, a more serious
cardiovascular condition which could result in heart attacks and/or strokes.
I can still dream, can’t I? Trump hasn’t signed an ‘executive
order’ banning hope: at least not yet.
