Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart I am a fan of “the Daily Kos.” Most of its writers are contributors, not employees, and they always speak ‘truth to power.’ I have no doubt that Trump and his entire fascist party hate me for telling the truth, and hate the Daily Kos even more because of its much larger circulation. The Department of Justice was intended to be independent from the president. This included the Attorney General. However, in 2025 Trump chose Pam Bondi as our nation’s primary legal officer. The truth is that Trump bribed Bondi when she was the Florida Attorney General, and she accepted the bribe. Trump’s administration is composed of criminals, immoral, and hate-filled men and women. The DOJ has become Trump’s “army of revenge,” and no longer represents the rights of all Americans. A few weeks ago, Trump’s DOJ attempted to silence the Daily Kos. Trump’s actions in Los Angeles are an undeniable display of fascism. He will follow this disgusting attack on American values with a military parade on Sunday, his 79 th birthday, an action demanded exclusively by dictators. Hitler hated the Jews. Trump, in an act of “one upmanship,” revealed to us that he hates anyone who is not pure white and rich. What the mainstream media is not talking about speaks volumes. Dozens of fake journalists continue to show their support for Trump, not for the American people. Between January 20 and today, he has done nothing for 340 million American people. Not a single promise has been addressed. He continues to spend every rare minute he is in the White House seeking revenge and destroying the lives of innocent men, women, and children. The majority of his time has been spent chasing a small, white ball through the grass or rubbing shoulders with his oligarchs at Mar-a-Lago. Trump’s policies are a combination of Mein Kampf, and Project 2025. From his first rally in 2015, his message was composed of anger, hatred, and violence. In 2017 his first actions revealed his hatred of all non-whites and non “Christians.” He followed Reagan’s policy of disregard for the working class and support of the mega-rich whom we call billionaires, or oligarchs. He made it very clear that he would not serve anyone who chose not to support him and his anti-American policies. Trump believes that he has joined his biggest idol, Adolf Hitler, in becoming America’s Fuhrer. And, why shouldn’t he? The Supreme Court gave him absolute immunity and he has become a vile and ruthless dictator over the last four months. His actions in Los Angeles are unforgivable and unconstitutional.
