Nikki Haley Because She Proves That There is a Little Sanity on the Right, but Only a Little
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
I’ll say it again and again and again until everyone
recognizes the truth: no one on the right is qualified to lead America. Those
who call themselves “Republicans” continue to be incompetent. Their economic
policies fail badly, they are racists, homophobic, misogynists, and practice religious
bigotry.
These facts are clear and undeniable, proven by the words
and actions of their Fuhrer, Donald John Trump. He is unquestionably the worst
man in the world. Over the last nine years I desperately searched for one
redeeming quality possessed by your former illegitimate president, but he has
none. When everything coming out of his pie hole is a lie, he will never be
believed or trusted by any person with average intelligence.
Although she lost the South Carolina primary, her home
state, by 21 points, Nikki Haley offered the press this comment: “I said
earlier this week that no matter what happens in South Carolina, I would
continue to run for president. I’m a woman of my word,” Haley said. “In the
next 10 days, another 21 states and territories will speak. They have the right
to a real choice, not a Soviet-style election with only one candidate. And I
have a duty to give them that choice.”
On a few occasions Haley has shown signs of sanity and
appears to face reality. However, that’s not good enough to convince Republican
voters who choose ignorance over facts.
Prior to the South Carolina primary, one of the late-night
hosts conducted interviews with South Carolina citizens on the streets of
Charleston. Initially, the men and women were offered quotes from Trump, but
were told that they were from President Biden. Their responses were very
negative. Then the interviewer said, “I’m sorry, that was actually a quote from
Donald Trump.” These same people immediately offered their praise for the worst
president in our nation’s history. His cult is brainwashed and unfit to vote.
It is an irrefutable fact that the “dumbing down of America”
began in June of 2015. On that strange day the least qualified man in history rode
escalators down to the lobby of Trump Tower and declared his candidacy for the
Republican Party’s presidential nomination. The debates which followed never
became debates. Trump attacked his opponents and they retaliated. Not once in
2016 did a Republican candidate discuss the issues facing America. The reason
why this did not happen is simple: none of them knew how to address our
problems and none of them actually cared.
The mainstream media began to focus their attention on
Trump, giving him five-times more television coverage than all other candidates
combined. They followed the example of Fox News, realizing the fact that “sensationalism
increases viewership, and that results in an increase in advertising dollars.”
In my opinion, the right-wing needs Nikki Haley. She would
not be good for the country, but the once Grand Old Party desperately needs
someone, anyone who is closer to being a Republican.
Sadly, with the pitiful inauguration of Trump on January 20,
2017, the Party of Lincoln imploded and will never exist again. Although the
media calls today’s fake Republicans “MAGA Republicans,” it is far more
accurate to call them what they are, “The American Fascist Party.”
