Netanyahu is The Problem, Not the People of Israel
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart One of the great stories of the 20 th century was the recognition of Israel as a State, a Nation, by the United Nations. A 1960 movie starring Paul Newman, Eva Marie Saint, Lee J. Cobb, and Sal Mineo titled “Exodus” told the story: a story of courage and determination like no other. Although the movie was nearly three-and-one-half hours long, it was inspiring and fascinating. However, its length and repetition of the facts was criticized by Paul Newman and others involved in the production. This cannot diminish the importance of a real-life story, but it was in its own way a prophecy of what was yet to come. When Israel’s right to exist was recognized in 1948. 40 years later, in 1988, leaders of the Palestinian people in the area applied for equal representation by the United Nations.
