Nobel Peace Prize? Piling More Embarrassment and Shame on America
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart If the committee deciding who will be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for Peace is considering Trump for the award, it will lessen the value and prestige of the award for every past recipient. Trump promised his “people” that he would end the invasion of Ukraine on day one: the carnage continues. Trump planned, organized, and executed the attempted coup on January 6, 2021. I watched all three hours of the violent and disgusting insurrection. I saw a bloodthirsty group of Neo-Nazis search for Vice-President Pence and Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, with the intent of murdering them, under orders from Trump. Giving the worst man in the world such a prestigious award would make the entire process a sham, meaningless, and of no value. Finally, Trump is Putin’s most valuable asset.
