Will America’s Tech Industry Experience a Huge Decline in 2025 and Beyond?
One of Trump’s many moronic plans, among Tariffs which will
increase prices for consumers, and a national sales tax which will add to the
grief of the working class, is a travel ban from several nations into the
United States.
More than any other industry, this will negatively affect
the Tech industry. Microsoft and Google employ students from several nations
under the H-1B visa program. It has become difficult to find qualified men and
women in our universities who are capable of filling their needs. Much of this
problem is the exorbitant cost of higher education in America. Each year American
businesses lose some of our greatest minds simply because they cannot afford
the cost of higher education.
America’s co-president, Elon Musk, has offered his support
for the H-1B visa program. However, right-wing extremists with fascist
ambitions are demanding an end to the policy.
Administrators and faculty from multiple colleges and
universities have advised their foreign students to return to campus before
Trump’s January 20 inauguration. Trump’s immigration policy is so radical, no
one is completely safe from Trump’s promised travel ban.
As he did between 2017 and 2021, Trump will change America,
and not in a good way. He will cause damage to multiple industries, and harm
our relationship with the citizens and leaders of other nations. It is no
secret that Putin’s plan, put into place by Trump, is to isolate America from
its closest allies and end the only reason there has not been a WWIII, NATO.
Over the last nine years, the face of the average American
citizen has changed. Tens-of-Millions of Americans openly express their support
for white supremacy, and the repeal of the First Amendment which protects
democracy for all. The United States is no longer united, and we are all living
in Trump’s America, not the America of Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, Lincoln,
Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Obama, or Biden.
I am 78 years old and the nation I live in today has no
resemblance to the country in which I was raised and practiced the principles,
morals, and values of my grandparents and ancestors who immigrated to America
more than a century ago.
While still in high school I became aware of how important immigration
is to America’s future. Our strength is in our diversity. We learn from each
other and every race, every ethnicity, became important parts of the positive
development of our country. By 2022, more than 20 percent of all married couples
were interracial. This does not include Americans who identify themselves as ‘in
a relationship,’ which more than doubles these figures. This is a direct result
of our country’s immigration policy.
From high school through college, foreign students have been
a constructive and integral part of our educational system. A significant
percentage of the progress made in healthcare is provided by men and women who are
not natural born American citizens. Scientific advances, the tech industry, and
the creation of great art and thought-provoking fiction and non-fiction writings,
are the result of young men and women who were born elsewhere, but received
their education in America.
Trump and his prejudiced party fail to understand or
recognize the value of a fair and lawful immigration policy. Ninety nine
percent of all Americans are descendants of men and women born in dozens of nations
around the world.
Sadly, real Americans will suffer under the controversial
presidency of an old, obese, white man who constantly preaches fear, anger, and
hatred. Trump intentionally incites violence against multiple groups, although
he, himself, is a draft dodger and a coward.
