Trump Was Right: Our Presidential Elections are Rigged

From 1789 until today, our government promised its citizens “free and fair elections.” For the most part, it was a promise kept until 2000. Beginning in 1981, the ugliest profession became increasingly vile and destructive. The ambitions of professional politicians drove our two political parties into a frenzy, placing reelection ahead of the public interest. The desire for power replaced any intent to “do the right thing” for the people of their country.

Before I continue, let me repeat myself. The two reasons our legislative branch is dysfunctional are supported by fact, and are undeniable.

Our Founding Fathers admitted to the imperfection of their efforts at the Constitutional Convention. Letters after its completion written by Jefferson, Madison, Adams, and others confirmed their naivete. They believed that their successors would improve upon what they had begun, and the results would become the creation of the greatest country in the world. Unfortunately, that never happened.

I have no doubt that two errors in judgment were the foundation for the complete failure of our federal government in the 21st century.

The creators of the United States of America made the decision not to impose term limits on all three branches of our government. Included in this huge mistake was granting lifetime appointments to the justices of the Supreme Court. Their intentions and beliefs were ensuring the prevention of members of the Court becoming politicized, and therefore allowing bias to participate in their decisions.

In 2025 there is irrefutable proof that longevity, the holding of public office for long periods of time, results in great power for the individual. It is a fact that “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

The poster boy for my allegation is Moscow Mitch McConnell. The old man of the senate has been a member of that esteemed body for the last 40 years. There is not a single record of an accomplishment which benefitted the lives of all Americans over those four decades. His efforts have been focused on his personal ambitions and the success of his political party.

One of his lifetime goals was to overturn the decision of a respected Supreme Court in 1973. Roe v Wade protected a woman’s right to decide the fate of her personal physical and mental health: a basic human right.

After establishing and then breaking his own unconstitutional rule, Moscow Mitch stacked the Court with three justices whose only qualifications were a promise to overturn Roe v Wade. On June 24, 2022, he was successful. A 49-year-old decision was overturned by a biased and politicized Supreme Court.

The second mistake removed the right of the people to choose their president. Although most of our Founding Fathers believed that ‘every vote should count,’ the leaders of the new nation’s most populated states capitulated to smaller states and established the Electoral College. This led the way for the establishment of “red” and “blue” states, allowing politicians and the super-rich to decide the outcome of our elections. Every argument in support of the Electoral College is simply bullshit. The people, not the states should choose the man or woman who will lead us for the next four years. And, yes, every vote should count.

Which brings me to the 2000 election.

As the votes were counted, it was assumed that Al Gore would win the popular vote, but the vote of the Electoral College was undecided. The results of the election would be confirmed by the state of Florida and its 25 Electoral College votes.

The dispute would be decided by one county. It was decided that the votes would be recounted by hand. While the count was in progress, the Supreme Court of the United States violated its Constitutional requirement and halted the counting of votes, declaring George W. Bush our 43rd president. This was not a free and fair election. The will of the people was ignored.

In 2016, just one month before the November 8 election, a meeting in the White House requested by our nation’s security agencies confirmed that Russia was engaged in massive efforts to aid Donald Trump in his effort to win the presidency. Our nation’s leaders, President Obama, Vice-President Biden, Democratic Party leaders, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer, Republican leaders, Moscow Mitch McConnell, and Paul Ryan, decided not to allow the voting public about Vladimir Putin’s efforts. Trump became our nation’s first illegitimate president, elected with the assistance of a foreign nation, the mainstream media, and James Comey.

After the shocking and controversial results of the 2024 election, a respected tech company offered their belief that Russian agents hacked into the voting machines in what have become known as ‘swing states,’ and altered the results of the election. Trump won all seven swing states??????

My opinion is that our government knew what happened and in actions of cowardice and hypocrisy refused to tell the American people the truth. Therefore, there will never be a free and fair election in America during what remains of my lifetime. The system is broken and beyond repair.
