Ambiguous? I Don’t Think So

“No person shall ... hold any office, civil or military,
under the United States ... who, having previously taken an oath ... as an
officer of the United States ... to support the Constitution of the United
States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or
given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”
The former is from section 3 of the 14th
Amendment. I don’t understand why, but there are some self-proclaimed political
and Constitutional experts claiming that this part of our Constitution does not
apply to Donald Trump, although he planned, and organized, an insurrection on
January 6, 2021 with the intent of preventing a democratic process underway in
the Capitol Building.
Anyone who watched the three long hours when Trump’s “army,”
composed of Neo-Nazis and others who hate the nation of our Founding Fathers,
stormed the Capitol, smashed windows, broke down doors, defecated on Nancy
Pelosi’s desk, and searched the building with the intention of executing the
Vice-President, witnessed the darkest day in American history. There is no
question, this was an attempted coupe executed for the sole purpose of keeping
a confirmed fascist in power over our nation’s people.
If this was not the most egregious act of treason in our
nation’s history, I no longer have anything to believe in. All 77 years of my
life as a patriot were a lie. The Constitution means nothing, and America is a
country without laws.
Robert Reich, a man I have learned to respect, and writing
for The Guardian, agrees with those of us who tell the truth.
[The most obvious question in American politics today should
be: why is the guy who committed treason just over two years ago allowed to run
for president? Answer: he shouldn’t be.]
Everyone should read the attached article by Mr. Reich even
though it is eight months old. It remains relevant.
If you attempt to discount Mr. Reich’s opinions, look at
this one statement which is undeniable and should scare the shit out of you.
“Trump tried these tactics once. The likelihood of trying
again is greater because loyalists are in stronger positions.”
Let’s not forget that he added to his treasonous action by
stealing classified documents from the White House and lied to the FBI about
their existence, hidden in Mar-a-Lago. In 1955 Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were
executed for a very similar crime.
Only an American should be allowed to seek the presidency.
Trump is a Russian asset who works for Putin, not for the American people.
If you support Trump, you do not love your country. You support
the antithesis of what it means to be a patriotic American.
