Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart There is an important historical point in America’s 249-year history which I hope will be recognized by everyone in the future. I call it the “Pre-Reagan Period.” Reagan not only moved our nation in a 180-degree turn, away from a progressive direction and into our darker past, he also encouraged dishonesty, refusal to work with their brothers and sisters across the aisle, and the end of transparency in government. There are few, very few in Washington today who have a genuine patriotic attitude and the courage to speak truth to power. One of these individuals is Jasmine Crockett. Ms. Crockett is a congresswoman from the state of Texas. Last Sunday, she made a speech to her supporters and held nothing back, unlike most of our nation’s cowardly politicians.
