Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart The very mention of his name makes me cringe. When I read that Trump had nominated Pete Hegseth for his Secretary of Defense, I began a background check of my own. I consider this the most important position in a president’s cabinet. He did fit the very minimum qualification: he served in the military, more accurately in the National Guard. Sadly, that was it, Trump’s only justifiable reason for nominating Hegseth. He had recently been employed as a Fox News, part-time, personality. He previously led a military charity, but was forced to resign when he was accused of embezzling funds from the organization. He was and is a known alcoholic. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart If your family is like mine, wanting to be informed about what is happening to our country every day, your day probably begins like this: someone says, “you have to see this.” You respond, “what’s the moron done now.” Trump is unpredictable because he has no idea what he is doing until he makes another stupid and destructive decision. His decisions fail to accomplishment anything of a positive nature. However, he always embarrasses himself, and causes more damage to our nation’s people. When he can’t have his way with something, he reverts to what he is, a spoiled, white, rich child, and “throws another tantrum.” This is typical for anyone who was raised without taking responsibility for his or her own actions or inaction. They must have the latest I-Phone, the most expensive car, the biggest house, have their children attend the most prestigious colleges and universities, and more recently have their food delivered rather than cook for themselves. The citizens of the United States are the most wasteful people on the planet. However, compared to our government, we are all misers. With Trump as your illegitimate president, the national debt is rising as fast as the Atlantic Ocean, a result of climate change. His failed fiscal policy is a disaster and has made America the poorest country in all developed nations. Donald John Trump failed himself and his family in his younger years, and an entire country in his old age. At the formative age of 13, his parents were unable to tolerate his behavior. They sent him to a military boarding school. The interesting fact is that it was just a few miles away from his parents’ home. While attending tha military-based prep school, Fordham University, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton College of Business, there are few and in most cases no record of accomplishments or failures.
