It was reported that early in his marriage, Trump read Hitler’s speeches before going to sleep. It is also completely obvious that he idolizes Vladimir Putin. The amount and frequency of his praise for Russia’s president would be embarrassing for any normal man. Trump faces several problems. In the age of instant communication, there are no secrets. Trump’s spiraling approval ratings confirm the fact that he is the most hated man in the world. His second problem is that his military may be the largest and most expensive in the world, but it has failed to win a single war since the end of WWII. Most importantly, no one would disagree with me that both Hitler and Putin are the poster boys for evil, but their intellect was never questioned. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Military leaders are seldom the “sharpest tools in the shed.” They are narrow minded. Their focus is on one thing and one thing only, ‘how to fight the next war.’ I should have said “two things,” the second being how much money they will receive each year from congress. Therefore, I doubt that the Pentagon will learn from their last four defeats by far less costly and numerous forces they promised to defeat quickly and with minimum effort. If we go back to WWII, the last war in which the military of the United States could honestly claim victory, the same lessons we should have learned from Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq apply.
