Moscow Mitch McConnell: Why the American People Cannot Trust Their Government
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart In 1985, Moscow Mitch McConnell began his reign of terror in the United States Senate. He was 43 years old. That was 40 long years ago. His constituents in the Senate began to learn who Moscow Mitch was. He was fiercely loyal to his party, and especially to one of the three worst presidents in history, Ronald Reagan. By the time he became a second-term Senator, it was clear that he would literally do anything to increase the power of the Republican Party. The American people had no idea how much harm Moscow Mitch could do to our country until January 20, 2009. After the inauguration of America’s first Black President, the old man of the Senate stood before the television cameras and created the most obstructionist party in history, the “party of no.” He promised that his party, formerly the Republican Party, would do absolutely nothing with the exception of ensuring that Obama would be a one-term president.
