Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Well, the farce in Alaska went about as I expected. This is what I saw and read. Trump ordered our fascist military to lay down a red carpet for their real boos, Putin, on the tarmac. The two old dictators, close friends for 38 years, warmly greeted each other. The only thing missing was a kiss on the lips. And after three and one-half hours of private conversation, it was over. The bottom line is, nothing happened. Only time and taxpayer money were wasted. I suppose some people had expectations. Those people are in denial. They don’t want to believe what the relationship between Trump and Putin is really about. Trump does nothing without the approval of his handler. He owes the Russian president everything. His business “empire” nearly crashed at least twice until Putin and his oligarchs rescued him. Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Either Trump’s dementia is more serious than I thought, or he has plans to return Alaska to Russia in exchange for peace in Ukraine. Trump said on Monday that he is “going to Russia on Friday.” He and Putin have agreed to meet in Alaska. The agenda is uncertain. Trump continues to change his plan and then have no plan at all. Russia sold the Alaskan territory to the United States in 1867 for 7.2 million dollars. That would be about 16 billion dollars today. Peace in Ukraine is priceless. Does anyone expect any positive results from this meeting? I have no doubt that the two dictators will be laughing at the idiots who believe that they are anything less than co-conspirators. Trump has expressed his devotion and admiration for Putin nearly 100 times since 2015. What this trip actually involves is taxpayers paying for cost of Trump and his handler meeting in person.
