The “T” Word Everyone is Too Cowardly to Use

I am an honest man who always tells the truth, truth based on facts and experience. I love my country and what it stands for. I have never caused harm to or defrauded others to fill my wallet. I also had three wives, but treated them with respect and when the marriages ended, we went our separate ways without malice or animosity. The truth is, we have only shared one thing in our 77 years on this planet: we both watched the insurrection on January 6, 2021, and did nothing. I lacked the power to do anything about what were irrefutable acts of Treason. Trump cheered them on, enjoying every moment as his neo-Nazi army waged war on the Congress of the United States. The term is clearly “treason.”
It is a sad fact that America’s justice system is not blind, fair or balanced. Although many individuals have been punished for their actions on January 6, none of them have been tried for the gravity of their crimes. This was not a riot, or a violent protest, this was an attempted coup. It doesn’t require a Harvard law degree to watch television, and my wife and I watched all three hours of the darkest day in our nation’s history. We experience what can only be called terror, the result of extreme violence as Trump’s Neo-Nazi army ransacked the Capitol Building searching for Mike Pence, Nancy Pelosi, and others with the intent of murdering them onsite. We both held back tears as we realized that our nation’s government was incompetent and corrupt. They allowed Trump to violate the Constitution on a daily basis, and turned their faces away from the truth.
The facts prove that this insurrection was organized, planned, executed by the greatest traitor in American history. This was the very definition of “treason” and yet he remains a free old, and obese white man, running for the presidency. This week he was indicted on charges related to that day, but treason was not included in the paperwork. Why?
The attached article from The Guardian is concise and answers the questions asked by me and millions of other Americans. However, what has not been asked or answered is, “why is he not locked up awaiting trial for committing the most heinous crime possible?”
I look back at the story of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. They were executed on June 19, 1953 after being convicted of multiple violations of the espionage act. Although some controversy remains about the first civilians ever executed by the federal government, the facts prove that they stole nuclear secrets and sold them to a foreign nation.
Donald Trump stole more than 300 secrets when he was evicted from the White House, and hid them in various locations inside Mar-a-Lago. When he was caught and ordered to return them, he violated a court order and retained dozens of national secrets for later, personal use. This combined with the fact that he was the “mastermind” behind the January 6 effort to overthrow our nation’s most treasured democratic process confirms his hatred his own country. Every division withing our country is his responsibility, and make Trump the greatest traitor in America’s 247 year history. The very fact that a sitting president attempted to overthrow his government and become a fascist dictator is unthinkable and he must be punished to the full extent of the law.
