More Florida Hypocrisy Involving Guns and Protection from Gun Violence, but not for the People

Ron DeSantis and his government are the most incompetent, and most hypocritical government in America. Florida has become America’s greatest disgrace over the last few years. Bowing to DeSantis’ fascist policies, the Sunshine State’s legislature continues to cost their residents millions of dollars to promote a ludicrous and hypocritical agenda.

The most recent idiocy involves guns, domestic terrorism, and an obvious effort to protect themselves from the increase in gun violence expected from recent legislation.

On July 1st, DeSantis signed a bill allowing the carry of concealed weapons without a permit, adding further danger to the state’s already moronic “stand your ground law.” Immediately after signing the bill, DeSantis ordered the windows replaced on the State Capitol building at the cost to taxpayers of $61.6 million. The reason? The new windows are bulletproof.

Dumb, ignorant, hypocritical, and moronic are not words capable of describing Florida’s legislature and their fascist government.

Every male and female politician is a bad joke in the 21st century if they call themselves “Republican.” There is no justifiable way DeSantis and his cronies are members of the Grand Old Party of Lincoln, Eisenhower, Teddy Roosevelt, Nixon, (yes Nixon), or George H.W. Bush. They have no principles, ideals, or ideas for the positive future of our nation. They are destroyers who have been reversing the accomplishments of progressive politicians since 2009.

I am and always have been an Independent. However, I have been unable to vote for any Republican since the Supreme Court gifted the presidency to George W. Bush in 2001. The reason is simple: it no longer exists. The entire right-wing has moved so far to the right, the must accurately call themselves “The American Fascist Party.” This is proven by the fact that the polls reveal the two leading contenders in 2024 are Trump, and DeSantis at a distant second.

Voting for either of these old, white fascists is tantamount to pissing on the Constitution.

It appears that DeSantis and his failed legislators are in denial. Domestic terrorism is undoubtedly the greatest danger to the American people, and they are encouraging even more gun violence.

Another reason why I consider Florida an ‘unlivable’ and undesirable state.
