Who is Really to Blame for the Disaster Known as Donald John Trump?

There are irrefutable facts that Trump’s illegitimate victory on November 8, 2016 was aided by Vladimir Putin, James Comey, and the mainstream media. However, recent investigations into the 2016 campaign and the ensuing election reveal a much deeper responsibility supported by our nation’s major print and internet news sources. They failed their most important responsibilities, and why they are protected by the First Amendment: to expose corruption in our government and report the truth to the American people. This is exceptionally important during the years when our nation’s leader is elected.

We learned in 2017 that throughout the 2016 campaign season the mainstream media gave Trump five times more coverage than all other candidates combined. However, he was seldom criticized for his many, many lies or the fact that he and his camp rarely discussed the issues facing our nation. Nor did they stress the fact that he was clearly a white supremacist, a bigot, a homophobe, and a misogynist.

We are now being offered another fact for consideration by the voting public. The press never treated the 2016 campaign as a contest between two individuals who sought the presidency. It was more like an athletic contest with one side constantly “trash-talking” the other. They constantly reported everything negative about Hillary Clinton, including the baseless accusations about her endangering national security with the use of a private e-mail server. However, they downplayed everything about Trump, including the expose on the Access Hollywood tapes that he was undoubtedly a sexual predator. Along those same lines they never explored the depth of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

More importantly, they were aware of his many business failures but never informed the American people about his crimes. I was aware in 2016 that devaluing his properties when filing taxes and overvaluing those same properties when seeking loans from large banks were standard practice. His life was truly a tale of another crime boss residing in New York City.

If the media, once known as the “fourth estate,” had performed their primary function, Trump would never have won the Electoral College. It is also true if the Electoral College, which allows states, not people, to choose the president, did not exist, Hillary would have been our 45^th president. She defeated Trump by three million votes in the popular vote.

Is this a conspiracy? Fox News has taught everyone that sensationalism increases advertising dollars and all media other than television is facing financial ruin.

Those calling themselves “Republicans” constantly criticize the press. However, is this another smoke screen intended to hide the truth from the American people?

I trust no one in power. Our nation is now controlled by a plutocracy. Capitalism has failed, as it always does. However, a plutocracy cannot exist for long without the protection of an authoritarian government. Trump’s entire foundation is built on fascist philosophies.

Only our votes on November 5, 2024 can save our nation. Any man or woman calling themselves “Republican” must be removed from office. Do the right thing and believe nothing you hear on television.
