Another “How Dumb is He” Story: (I Couldn't Resist)
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart Trump is too dumb to keep his mouth shut. He continues to defy a judge’s gag order and attack the man who will oversee his “hush money” case beginning on April 15th.
Trump is filled with jealousy and hatred. The malignant narcissist cannot resist his urge to seek revenge on anyone who does not support him and his vile agenda. His latest actions may cost him the election by an even greater margin than in 2020.
Haley’s Supporters May Take Revenge on Trump
Trump is not smart enough to understand that he desperately needs the votes of Nikki Haley’s supporters. He is ignoring them and failing to make any effort to bring them into his camp.
Although Ms. Haley suspended her campaign three weeks ago, she continues to win a percentage of voters in the primaries. The truth is that Trump continues to lose prospective voters, he is not gaining any. His legal battles rage on, and he is not offering anything at his rallies which would encourage undecided or Independent voters to cast their ballots for him.
Base of Right-Wing Politicians is in Steep Decline
Over the last 40+ years the description of the average Republican voter includes white, 50 years of age or older, claims to be Christian, a supporter of the NRA, and an avid viewer of FOX News or another right-wing extremist radio or television broadcast.
Let’s take these one by one.
Pure whites are disappearing at a much faster rate than expected by sociologists 50 years ago. It is extremely common for couples to be of mixed race in the 21st century.
I am an original baby boomer, born in 1946. Seven years ago, baby boomers composed a large percentage of registered Republican voters. We are dying at a rate not expected by Republican strategists. It may interest you that I am one of only one percent of the world’s people who were born between 1930 and 1946 who remain alive.
I have learned that an extremely large number of Americans who claim to be Christian are not. They use the title of “Christian” for their own benefit. Regardless, the number of new and current “Christians” in America is in decline. The fastest growing group related to religion are known as “nones.” We reject all organized religion, and our numbers continue to grow, currently more than 100 million. The fastest growing organized religion is the Religion of Islam.
Membership in the NRA remains stagnant at about 10 percent. The American people are beginning to understand that the NRA is not a “gun rights” organization, or a “gun safety” organization, they are a lobby for gun manufacturers and gun sellers. The American motto of profit before people applies to them perfectly.
With the advent of OAN, One America News, Newsmax, and other more extremist, even fascist, right-wing broadcasts, FOX is losing viewers. The right-wing propaganda machine began its efforts to divide our nation in 1996. It had a single goal: to increase advertising revenue with the use of anything except the truth. Sadly for America, our broadcast networks, including ABC, NBC, and CBS are following their example. The people you see on your television are all millionaires, and likely supporters of right-wing politicians. They receive the huge and destructive tax cuts gifted from “conservative politicians.”
Trump Will not Receive Crossover Votes, or the Votes of a Large Number of Independents
If Trump has any hope of winning in November, he must receive the votes of all Nikki Haley supporters. He has earned the title of “most hated man in America,” and possibly the world.
