If Found Guilty, Will Trump be Sentenced to Prison?

On April 14th Trump will be in New York. The long
expected “hush money trial” will begin. He is accused of paying adult movie
star, Stormy Daniels, $130,000 to sign an NDA hiding the fact that he paid Ms.
Daniels to engage in sexual relations.
He is charged with 34 counts, and could be sentenced to four
years in prison if convicted.
Another First for “The Donald”
Trump is the first former president to be charged with a
felony of this variety. When he entered the courtroom Monday, he was unusually
somber and unlike other occasions when he faced criminal action, Trump barely
spoke.
Because of previous actions in other courtrooms, the judge
immediately placed a “gag” order on all participants. If Trump violates the
rule, he could be placed in jail immediately.
Never in my Life Could I have Imagined Any of This
At nearly 78 years of age, I have read about many situations
when elected officials were charged with criminal violations. A handful were
convicted and received minor punishments. Most were forced to resign and remain
free. The last two memorable individuals were two former Republican Congressmen
who served as Speaker of the House: Newt Gingrich and Dennis Hastert. Gingrich was
initially charged with 12 felonies, and Hastert with the sexual assault of
young men. Neither was fairly punished.
However, I have never experienced or even imagined a
criminal as brazen as Donald Trump. The only crime not attached to your former
illegitimate president is murder. At least not at the time I am writing this
article.
Other Crimes and Unethical Actions Committed by the Orange
Buffoon
The history of Trump’s nearly 78 years, (born on June 14, he
is exactly three weeks older than yours truly}, is a tale not unlike a member
of a mafia organizations. Not all of his actions demanded criminal charges,
some were simply unethical or just simply wrong.
He has committed multiple actions of bribery. In addition to
E. Jean Carroll, at least 25 other women claim that Trump either sexually
assaulted them or committed other acts of sexual misconduct. He is well-known
as a pretend billionaire who seldom pays his debtors. This is why only the
worst attorneys will work for the leader of the Washington Mafia. The most
egregious crime for which he will never be charged is collusion with Vladimir
Putin which helped him win the Electoral College in 2016.
I Remain Angry that Trump is Allowed his Freedom
If it was any other man on earth, Trump would be in a
federal detainment center awaiting trial for treason. Right-wing politicians
and the mainstream media hide the truth that January 6 was in fact an attempted
coup. Trump planned, organized, and executed the events of January 6, 2021,
with the intention of halting one of our most democratic requirements and
overthrow the government. This is the very definition of “treason.” You or I
would have been arrested on January 6 or 7 and immediately indicted for the
most serious federal crime that exists.
Once again, he should have been placed in a jail when the
FBI found dozens of classified documents hidden in his current residence at
Mar-a-Lago. He should have been charged under the Espionage Act, and for lying
to the FBI when he claimed that all documents he stole on January 20, 2021 had
been returned.
I close with one undeniable fact: Trump is the worst thing
to have happened to our nation in its 247-year history. I am ashamed to be an
American living in a nation governed by the most corrupt government in the
world.
