Will I Ever Wake-Up From This Nightmare?

I truly cannot believe that what is happening today is occurring while I am conscious. In my 77 years I could never have imagined what is going on in America today, and I am a novelist, being creative is my thing. 

Millions of our nation’s people claim that they will vote for an old, obese, mentally deficient man who is a confirmed traitor to his country, an asset of Vladimir Putin, a sexual predator, the leader of the fascist movement in America, a racist, a bigot, a sexist, and the biggest criminal in American history. 

If “Big Adolf” is elected, America is over. 

IF THIS IS AMERICA TODAY, I DON’T BELONG HERE  

I am an old man. However, I remember things most Americans never experienced. I remember when a presidential candidate was forced to resign if it was revealed that he had an affair as a married man. In most cases, a man who had been divorced faced little chance of being elected. 

LET’S LOOK AT THE FACTS 

Trump has been married three times. The facts prove that he had extramarital affairs while still married to all three wives. He has been accused by at least 25 women of actions defined as sexual assault. If we add the many crimes not related to sexual deviance, which are numerous, by his own actions, he has proven himself to be a lifelong criminal. 

Between 2017 and 2021, his words and actions offered undeniable proof that he is not loyal to the United States of America, and all 330 million of our nation’s people. 

I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE LEADERSHIP OF 13 MEN 

I cannot tell you that every President in my lifetime was great: most were adequate. I remember Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, William Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Joseph Biden. 

Their records prove that most were somewhat competent, one was a great leader, and three were the worst in America’s history.  

VOTERS PROVE THAT THEY ARE MOSTLY IGNORANT 

If we take an honest look at the 545 men and women who control the future of our nation today, you will undoubtedly shake your head. It is difficult to find a handful who are willing and capable of performing the jobs for which they were elected. Thanks to the fascist leaning Freedom Caucus, the House is broken, and the repairs will take years. 

However, it is unfair to place all the blame on these corrupt politicians: you and I voted for them. It is our fault Washington is dysfunctional. 

When asked about the Presidents Daily Brief, and other sources of information only available to the president, Trump replied: “I learn everything I need to know from television.”  

Sadly, this is also true for most American voters. Television is composed primarily of lies, half-truths, and misinformation. The ads, paid for by political parties seldom contain a single fact. 

A perfect example is happening today in my state of Nevada.  

Democrat Jackie Rosen is running for reelection in the Senate. Her record is impeccable. Running against her are two Trump suck-ups: Sam Brown, and Jeff Gunter. 

Gunter is running on a single issue: he claims to support Trump “110 percent.” I know that’s impossible, but he is a Trump Cron, and exaggeration is common and acceptable.  

Brown is focused on a single issue: immigration. His ad is composed of videos, which include riots, buildings covered in graffiti, fake drug transactions, and other portrayals designed to frighten voters. However, not one of the videos include film taken in Nevada. It is 100 percent false. 

Neither Republican has a single qualification to become a United States Senator. They have no experience, nothing which gives them credibility. But they support the worst president in American history. 

Every morning, I wake up with a single hope. I open my computer and search for an article telling me Trump is no longer with us. I am tired of seeing his old, decrepit face on the news. He has nothing of value to say. If I owned a news network, I would boycott Trump. I would only report the news, and he is not news. DJT is part of our dark past. Let him go.
