Joe Biden is a Superstar for Older Americans

I record all four of the late-night variety shows daily.
However, I don’t find their critique of President Biden’s age funny. It’s not
because I am just three-and-one-half years younger than Mr. Biden, it’s because
the two causes I have fought for in my adult life have been equal rights for
women, and respect for our elders.
America is the only developed nation that refuses to respect
and care for its senior citizens. In 2009 I was 63 years old. I had been laid
off from my job in 2008. I wanted to continue working. I applied for a position
in the 2010 Decennial Census, and a test date was scheduled. A couple of weeks
later I received a phone call and offered a job. I was to be trained in March
at a location near my home. The rest of the story is long and unnecessary.
However, later in 2010 when I was employed in the Reno Census
office, a discussion began during our lunch break. There were about 50 people
working at that time, and later the number reached 100. We were between 80 and
18 years of age. Those of us who were older all had stories that although there
are laws against age discrimination, we had all been rejected at various
businesses based on our age. The Census hired its employees by test scores
exclusively. I will simply say that everyone in that office was underpaid for
their talent and work ethic. The 2010 Census was finished on time and two-billion
dollars under budget. Without the experience and knowledge of our older men and
women, this could not have happened.

I have often said that our nation would prosper if more women
and younger Americans held seats in the Capitol Building and the White House.
The average age of all Americans in 2024 is 38.2 years of age. I believe that
our leaders must understand the needs and wishes of all Americans.
However, President Biden has already proven that he is our
country’s most accomplished president since Bill Clinton. His accomplishments
far outnumber those of his predecessors in just four years. Most importantly
for all Americans the economy is the best it has been since 1999. Jobs are
plentiful, unemployment is minimal, and wages have increased exponentially.
This is what an octogenarian can do if given the opportunity and his mental
capabilities are intact.
THE MAINSTREAM, MEDIA IS NO LONGER HIDING THE TRUTH
There are hundreds of reasons why Donald Trump is unfit to
lead our nation. He accomplished nothing in four previous years. He learned
nothing during those same years. His focus is not on improving the lives of all
Americans. He tells us that his efforts will be focused on revenge against his
adversaries. Now we can add the undeniable fact that he is a convicted felon.
Most importantly, he is unfit for office because he is
mentally and physically incompetent. During his “hush money” trial, he constantly
fell asleep, although his very life was in the outcome. His physical stamina
has greatly declined since 2015.
Trump clearly displays signs of early dementia. He and FOX
News would like you to believe that the President is impaired. However, doctors
who study aging, known as “Geriatricians,” studied Mr. Biden and decided that
he displayed normal signs of aging but nothing excessive which would affect his
ability to perform the job for which he was elected.
Trump’s slurred speech, his inability to remember normal
words or the names of his associates, combined with what appears to be a lack
of awareness about where he is or what he is doing should raise questions about
his ability and willingness to perform the duties of our President.
Although repetitive comments are normal for Trump, they are
also a sign of cognitive impairment. His rallies are composed of the same
subject matter regardless of where he is. He appears to be illiterate as he
rambles on and on about how badly he has been treated just because he is a
lifetime criminal.

You might remember that in 2017 several members of his
cabinet consulted with Mike Pence about Trump’s removal from the presidency with
the use of the 25th Amendment.
Add all of this to the fact that he is the definition of a
man inflicted with malignant narcissism, and Trump must not be allowed to play
the role of President of the United States again.
