Why and How the Mainstream Media Became the Enemy of Free Speech and the Truth

If you have ever read more than one of my rants, you know that I consider the mainstream media the enemy of the people. The “Fourth Estate” is protected by the First Amendment. However, today it no longer exists. The press was protected because its purpose was to expose government corruption. Today’s fake journalists are in collusion with Washington politicians.

Several years ago, I had a source who asked to remain anonymous. He told me that the former free press was now under the control of Washington politicians. In the 21^st century, if a journalist wants the full story about any situation, he or she must omit certain facts harmful to the careers of elected officials. If he or she refuses to comply, all of their sources will cease to exist.

ALL CRIMINALS MUST BE PUNISHED, WITHOUT EXCEPTION

Here is the headline from Newsweek today.

This title is extremely misleading. It gives validity to Trump and his party’s claim that the “hush money trial was political.” This is a blatant lie, and an attack on our nation’s judicial system.

Over the last seven years, everyone who reads learned every detail of how and why this case had to be brought to a court of law. The evidence was clear, and Trump knew this to be fact. No jury could have exonerated him.

All too often the rich and powerful escape justice in America. However, Trump cannot keep his big mouth shut, and convicted himself long before the court was called to order.

Weeks before the 2016 election, Trump bragged about the fact that he is a sexual predator in the Access Hollywood tapes. His claim that he could shoot someone in Times Square and not lose one supporter revealed his belief that he was above the law. After Trump was impeached, Moscow Mitch McConnell failed to conduct a fair trial in the Senate twice, offering credibility to Trump’s assumption.

The truth is, after nearly 60 years of criminal actions and immoral relations unwanted by numerous women, Trump was held accountable for 34 counts related to hush money paid to an adult film star, attempting to prevent voters from knowing “the real Donald Trump” prior to the 2016 election.

FOX NO LONGER STANDS ALONE IN THE FIELD OF FAKE AND MISLEADING NEWS BROADCASTS

In 1996, FOX became the first right-wing propaganda machine. Under the guise of a “news network,” it openly supports the extremist agenda of right-wing politicians. Its basic motto was “sensationalism sells advertising,” and the truth is of no concern.

Today there are additional right-wing propaganda machines, but they are no longer alone.

Broadcast news, including ABC, NBC, and CBS, are more concerned with profits than the truth. Proof lies in the fact that never has a single “news network” reported the fact that under President Biden’s leadership our country’s economy is the best it has been since 2000. Mr. Biden is the most accomplished President since Bill Clinton.

Experience during my 77 years as a patriotic American, combined with my experience as a political writer for the last 12 years, confirms two things: all media is biased in support of Trump and his fake Republican Party, and second, no one in power can be trusted.

RARITIES IN AMERICA

Finally, I am sad to tell you that in the 21^st century the truth is rare, and anyone with the courage to always “do the right thing,” regardless of the consequences is virtually extinct.

There will never be another Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, or John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Politicians seldom perform their jobs by doing the right thing for the American people. Elections continue to take priority over the future of our nation.

Sadly, the fourth estate no longer exists. When was the last time you read about a journalist exposing corruption in Washington without minimizing the seriousness of the situation? I thought so.
