Why is Anyone Interested in Who Trump Will Choose for VP?
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
There are always stories I don’t read because I simply don’t
care about the subject. There is one subject which is frequently on the pages
of every news publication which is of zero interest to me. Who Trump chooses as
his VP will have no effect on the election.
Mike Pence was not a Vice-President, his only function was
to kiss Trump’s humongous derriere as often as possible. Although that is all
he did for four years, Trump ordered his murder on January 6.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE WORST MAN IN THE WORLD
Let’s go back to the 2020 election. Republicans once offered
us two old, white, racist, and bigoted men. Neither had any experience in
governing 330+ million Americans. Although Trump and Pence had completed nearly
four years in office, they accomplished nothing because they never tried. They
had no idea what the hell they were doing. They pretended to be your leaders,
but never learned how to perform their jobs.
What they did accomplish was to divide our nation, undoing
many of the successes of the Obama Administration, tax breaks for the
super-rich, and a reduction in the quality of life for most Americans with a
fiscal policy which nearly placed America in the second Great Depression.
Democrats offered us one man and one woman, both of which
were qualified to lead our nation.
Kamala Harris worked as a Deputy District Attorney in
Oakland, California from 1990-1998. In 2004 Ms. Harris was elected District
Attorney, and in 2010 she became the Attorney General of California. After a
moving speech at the 2012 Democratic Convention, she declared her intention to
become a United States Senator in 2015, and was easily elected in 2016. In
2020, she accepted Mr. Biden’s offer to be his running mate.
President Biden was elected to the Senate in 1973 where he
served until 2008 when Barack Obama selected him as his running mate. He served
as Vice-President for eight years. In 2020 he won the Democratic Party’s
presidential nomination, defeating incumbent Donald Trump soundly in both the
popular vote and the Electoral College vote in the general election. His most
significant accomplishment involves our country’s economy. Currently, the
economy of the United States is the best it has been since the Clinton
Administration.
2024 ELECTION IS MOSTLY A RERUN
Four years later the American people have been offered a
rerun, with one exception; there will be no Mike Pence. After becoming a target
for assassination on January 6, 2021, it would have been a major shock if he
was chosen as Trump’s running mate.
Insiders claim that Trump will choose one of three men.
Personally, I never expected the misogynist to choose a woman. His selection
will likely be Marco Rubio (R-Fla), North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R), or Sen.
JD Vance (R-Ohio). It appears that the man who sucked up to the orange buffoon
the most, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, is no longer in consideration.
Let’s be honest; he never was. Scott is a Black man, at least on the outside. Trump’s
Neo-Nazi army would not be pleased.
Trump’s probable choices were more honest about the lifetime
failure previously.
Marco Rubio:
When campaigning against Trump in 2016, Rubio warned that in
the years to come, there will be “many people on the right, in the media and
voters at large, that are going to be having to explain and justify how they
fell into this trap of supporting Donald Trump.” He said Trump was “reckless
and dangerous” and would do “damage to America.”
J.D. Vance:
Vance described himself in 2016 as “a Never Trump guy,”
calling Trump “an idiot,” “noxious” and “reprehensible.”
Doug Burgum:
“I just think that it’s important that you’re judged by the
company you keep,” Burgum said before Chuck Todd asked him to clarify, “You
just wouldn’t do business with him?”
I cannot leave out Tim Scott, who criticized Trump after the
2017 Charlottesville tragedy:
Trump “compromised” his “moral authority.” What’s more,
during his presidential campaign, Scott acknowledged on a debate stage that
then-Vice President Mike Pence did the right thing on Jan. 6 by refusing to
reject the electors affirming Biden as the duly elected president. I’m sure the
malignant narcissist did not like that remark.
Can you say, “hypocrites?”
Trump will likely be choosing one of these mentally
conflicted men.
