Moving Closer to Fascism: “Show Me Your Papers”

Led by the dark red state of Texas, other right-wing-leaning
states are following their example and requiring documents proving anyone who
does not appear to be white is a citizen of the United States to receive rights
guaranteed by the Constitution. Now the extremists known as “the Freedom Caucus”
in the House of Representatives want to inflict another fascist law upon all
Americans. Suppressing voter turnout remains a priority.
PREPARING THE WAY FOR THEIR FUHRER
It is no secret that Trump hates anyone who is not pure
white. He has shown that he is the leaders of all white supremacists in America
time and time again.
One of his greatest fears is a large voter turnout. He has
been defeated twice in the popular vote, winning the 2016 Electoral College
vote by a slim margin with the assistance of Vladimir Putin. Trump was crushed in both the popular vote and
the Electoral College vote in 2020. In 2020 the largest turnout in voting
history guaranteed a Biden victory.
Mike Johnson, and his fascist Freedom Caucus has passed a
bill which would require voters to offer proof of citizenship prior to casting
their ballots. “Show me your papers.”
In reality, this is a blatant effort to discourage voters
from going to the polls. At age 78, I have no idea where I might find my birth
certificate, and I do not have a passport. I have been able to vote in every
general election since 1968, and now I might not be allowed my First Amendment
rights?
Johnson’s justification is pure bullshit.
“If just a small percentage, a fraction of a fraction of all
those illegals that Joe Biden has brought in here to vote, if they do vote, it
wouldn't just change one race,” he said. “It might potentially change all of
our races.”
THE TRUTH ABOUT VOTER FRAUD: THE ABSOLUTE FACTS
Trump’s fascist party is desperate to renew Trump’s big lie
about voter fraud in 2020.
Facts confirm that actual voter fraud in the United States
is extremely rare. Since studies began and records kept, actual voter fraud in
all elections is about .012 percent. In 2020, the only recorded cases of
attempted fraud were efforts by a few Trump supporters to vote twice.
Safeguards have been in place for generations, and they are
effective, contrary to what Trump’s cronies would like you to believe.
WHAT REPUBLICANS ARE AFRAID OF
The facts which matter cause fear in every right-wing
politician.
Republicans are desperate. The majority of voters support
the progressive agenda of Democrats. Not only do large turnouts in critical
elections prove this fact, it is very important to look at voting history.
In 1992, Bill Clinton clearly won the popular and Electoral
College vote. Only once since that election has a Republican won the popular
vote. In 2004, with 9/11 still fresh in our minds, George W. Bush narrowly won
the popular vote.
If the Electoral College, which allows states to choose our
presidents, did not exist, no Republican would have lived in the White House
over the last 32 years; longer than some of you have been alive, and before
many of you could legally vote.
This helps you understand why right-wing politician support
fascism. There would never be a free and fair election again.
