What do the Polls Say about Trump vs Harris?
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
Every real American is interested in one question? What do
the polls say about a Trump vs Harris contest for the presidency?
The truth is ‘nothing.’ First and foremost, she has not been
chosen as the Democratic nominee; at least not yet. Second, for obvious
reasons, there have been no polls taken by respected organizations. Most
importantly, how polls are taken today, no one can accept any poll as reliable.
I FIND ONE WORD INTERESTING AND POSSIBLY CRITICAL
In every election, the numbers related to voter turnout
explain the results.
The word I find missing in 2024 is “excitement.” That word
always relates to voter turnout. Look back at 2020. This country was eager to
rid itself of the worst president in history.
However, no one I know wanted to see a rematch of 2020. The two
major parties offered us old, white men whose mental and physical abilities are
in question. In addition, the average age of all Americans is 38.2 years. No
one can offer me assurance that two octogenarians can relate to the needs and
wishes of voters less than half their age. President Biden is 81 and Trump, 78.
Kamala Harris is 59.
TRUMP HAS NOTHING TO OFFER, WHILE HARRIS COVERS ALL THE
BASES
Trump is a convicted felon, a self-admitted sexual predator,
cannot honestly name one accomplishment, without outside assistance in his
life, and failed miserably between 2017 and 2021. He attempted to overthrow his
own government, and stole national secrets in violation of the Espionage Act.
And these are just the highlights. Presidential historians label him the worst
president in history.
Vice-President Harris is experienced, extremely intelligent,
and supports the issues most important to the majority of our nation’s people.
Her age is important, and so is the fact that she would be
our first female president. Ms. Harris’ ethnicity is a mixture of Black on her
father’s side, and Indian on her mothers. She is representative of a nation’s
diversity which is growing rapidly.
Remember that word, that emotion, “excitement.”
Trump’s appeal is exclusively to older, less educated, pure
white men and women.
Ms. Harris will appeal to a list of demographics, including
women voters, Black voters, ethnicities from Asia, younger voters, educated
voters, and most certainly all progressive Americans. She will encourage
millions to vote who are currently uninspired.
Possibly the best part of Kamala Harris candidacy is Trump
will hate her. How dare a woman challenge his right to lead his Neo-Nazi
Klan from the White House? He will create another nickname for her which will
have no meaning, but will be mean-spirited.
Just another opportunity to laugh at the orange buffoon.
